Chennai: Rotary Club of Chennai Aadithya and Rotary Club of Madras West and Tanker Foundation inaugurated a new dialysis unit at Urban Community Health Centre, Tiruvottiyur here.
“This is a joint effort of Rotary Club of Madras Central Aadithya and Rotary Club of Madras West and Rotary International which raised over Rs 80 lakh for this project,” a press release said.
Greater Chennai Corporation has given free space, water and electricity. Tanker Foundation will be running and managing the unit. This is TANKER Foundation’s 12th Dialysis Centre and 6th with the Greater Chennai Corporation.
Inaugurating the dialysis unit, State Minister for Medical and Family Welfare Ma Subramanian said the new facility would benefit the people of Thiruvottritur at free of cost.
Rotary District (3232) governor S Muthu Palaniappan, Member of Parliament Kalanidhi Veeraswamy, Tanker Foundation managing trustee Latha Kumaraswami among those who participated.
