Chennai: The Opposition AIADMK has scotched rumours about the health condition of senior party leader and presidium chairman E Madhusudhanan and said he was under intense care of the hospital.
The AIADMK took to twitter to inform the people not to believe rumours after the health condition of the former Minister, who was undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospital for the last couple of days after he complained of breathing difficulty.
Meanwhile, there was a mild flutter at the hospital as former Chief Minister and party jointcoordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami and sacked former interim general secretary V K Sasikala came at the same time to enquire about the health condition of Madhusudhanan.
Since both the leaders came to the hospital at the same time, there were speculations that they might exchange pleasantries.
However, Palaniswami, who was accompanied by senior leaders, left the hospital. Later, Sasikala, who came in a car sporting the AIADMK flag, also enquired about Madhusudhanan’s health condition and left the hospital. She also wished him a speedy recovery.
Almost the entire TV media was present as the news spread that both the leaders have come to the hospital.
While the AIADMK has been consistently reiterating that there was no room for the sacked leader and that she would not be re-inducted into the party, audio clips of Sasikala’s conversation with AIADMK workers in which she said she would come back to the party have been doing the rounds in the social media for a while.
Reacting to Sasikala’s repeated assertions that she would come back to guide the AIADMK, Palaniswami accused her of spreading deliberate lies and reiterated that the party had ‘no relationship’ with her and that the AIADMK could not be split.
