Chennai: K R Uday Bhaskar has taken charge as Principal Commissioner of Customs, Air Cargo and Airport under the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs.
Bhaskar is a 1990 batch IRS officer and has worked in various field formations of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs in Mumbai, Chennai, Mysore, Trichy and Kochi.
Prior to taking over the charge as Principal Commissioner of Customs Air Cargo and Airport, he worked as Principal Commissioner of Central Excise and GST in Kochi, Kerala, according to an official release.
