Chennai: Tamilnadu reported 1,851 positive cases of Covid-19 on Monday night, bringing the state tally to 25,90,632.
The highest increase in fresh cases was in Thanjavur, where fresh cases went up to 127 from 106 cases on Sunday, followed by Pudukottai, which saw a rise from 25 to 42 during the same time period. Overall, Coimbatore continued to report the highest number of cases in the state, followed by Chennai and Erode.
Chennai reported 205 positive cases, bringing the city’s total to 5,41,402. The State recorded 28 deaths on Monday, putting the toll at 34,547. A total of 1,911 patients were discharged following treatment, taking the total number of recoveries to 25,35,715. The State has 20,370 active cases.
