Dubai: Though Shreyas Iyer may have missed out the first phase of IPL 2021 due to injury, he is back fully fit to play the next phase starting this 19 September.
He sustained a shoulder injury during England tour to India earlier this year.
When Shreyas Iyer was not playing IPL 2021, the Delhi Capitals (DC) franchise appointed young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant as the new captain. Sources now say that despite Iyer rejoining the team, Pant will continue as captain.
Delhi Capitals after ending as runners-up in the previous edition, currently stand at the top of the points table, with six wins from eight matches.
