Chennai: Nagaland Governor R N Ravi, who was transferred to Tamilnadu, is likely to assume charge on Saturday.
It is said that he would take charge at a simple ceremony at Raj Bhavan in Chennai following Covid protocols. Chief Minister M K Stalin and other top dignitaries will be part of it, sources said.
On Wednesday, Ravi left behind a heartfelt message for the people of Nagaland. ‘A little over two years of intimate association with you as the Governor, Nagaland has left me humbled and deeply touched. Inherent strength of your character, innate simplicity, ability to be patient with truth, howsoever inconvenient, and unbounded love and affection for a friend has few parallels in the world,’ he said.
‘Thank you for not letting me feel, even for a moment, as not one of you. I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to be associated with the people who strive for peace. I am confident that the people of Nagaland will continue to stand for peace and prosperity,’ he added.
