Chennai: People in Chennai woke up to overcast skies, as parts of the city received light showers early today morning. Parts of Chennai had received light to moderate showers overnight after a brief lull in rainfall in the city.
Met officials have predicted more showers today and tomorrow. The Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai has forecast thunderstorm with moderate rainfall over isolated places in Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram and Chengalpattu districts.
Meanwhile, the IMD predicted that for the next seven days light rain is possible, whereas heavy thundershowers are possible on 2 and 3 October in Delhi.
Heavy rain is also likely to occur in certain places over Purulia, Bankura and West Bardhaman districts on Thursday, as predicted by the weather office.
