Chennai: Tamilnadu Information and Publicity Minister M P Saminathan has expressed condolence over the death of Maalai Sudar Editor M Subramanian.
In a statement here, he recalled the five-decade service of Subramanian in media and his contribution as member of journalists pension committee.
Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations Department M Megavarnam visited Subramanian’s residence and offered condolences to his family members.
In his condolence message, Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali said, ‘I was shocked to hear the sudden passing away of Maalai Sudar Editor and Publisher M Subramanian. I had the opportunity of interacting with him earlier on many occasions. He was a soft spoken and gentleman to the core. He had rich experience in dealing with men and matters in the field of journalism in particular, since many decades now. In today’s world there may be a few people of his calibre.
I convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members of the deseased and I pray to God to keep the soul to rest in peace.
