Welcome 2022. The world enters a new compound. All hope not lost. Pandemic, economic crisis, terrorism, global warming and many battles to be fought.
Various countries and various problems. But fight to stay alive and spirit to survive remains the same. People want all in order. Time we all brace up for a new order.
Prime Minister Modi greeting people, said, ‘May this year bring abundance of joy and good health in everyone’s lives. May we keep scaling new heights of progress and prosperity, and work even harder to fulfil the dreams of our great freedom fighters’. Though celebrations are low-key due to Covid threat, the zeal and enthusiasm is not lost. Prayers at religious places, excitement at homes were the same.
In Chennai, heavy rain a day earlier and subsequent inundation further dampened the festive mood, coupled with a fiat from the city police that revellers will be booked. With parties and other events banned due to a resurgence of Covid-19 cases, the Marina and Besant Nagar beaches, looked empty, a far cry from their usual self in a normal year. Hopefully 2022 provide more confidence to face problems. Lets stand up and stay.
