Popular filmmaker and MNM leader Murali Appas has turned lyricist with a devotional music video titled Arul Payanam, that speaks about spiritual journey to Sabarimala by Ayyappa devotees.The music video sung and enacted by Unnikrishnan has music by Prahlad Raghavendran and directed by Venkatesh Kumar M.
Says Murali Appas, ‘It is my maiden attempt as lyricist. I have seen devotees embarking on spiritual trip to Sabarimala. I have read and heard stories about Swami Ayyappa. It took just a couple of days to come up with lyrics. People have appreciated me for the work. It has simple lyrics but soaked in spirituality’.
Murali Appas, a former assistant to Maniratnam in Rajinikanth, he directed Ajith in Raasi. A busy politician, he is also a motivational speaker today.
