Chennai: Tamilnadu BJP president K Annamalai has said there is no place for criminal elements in the party’s State unit.
Speaking to reporters, he said the TN unit of the BJP would not give shelter to criminals for whom the police are on the lookout.
To a question on former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Pon Radhakrishnan of the BJP meeting the family of history-sheeter Padappai Guna recently, Annamalai said he would have to ask Radhakrishnan about the meeting.
‘He is a former Union Minister and his intention would not have been to bring the person into the party,’ Annamalai added.
Annamalai said the 11 medical colleges in Tamilnadu, inaugurated on Wednesday, was a Pongal gift to the people of the State from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
