Chennai: Chief Minister and DMK president M K Stalin has said his party has disproved the charge of it being an anti-Hindu through measures taken by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department and over Rs 2,043 crore worth of encroached temple land parcels have been retrieved over the past 10 months.
In a video statement, he said, ‘Our government has allocated Rs 1,000 crore for renovation of HR and CE temples as per our poll promise. These steps will disappoint political forces which play politics using religion. They might feel frustrated as they could not succeed in breaking the unity among people.’

The confidence of the people on us, our untiring fight for the State’s rights and our confidence in giving a transparent administration aided DMK to emerge as the third-largest party in the Parliament. ‘
Stating that the DMK would fulfil all the poll promises, including the monthly dole of Rs 1,000 to women, he said, ‘Every penny spent by this government is going towards the welfare of the people. Every household is benefitting out of it.’ The CM that the previous AIADMK government had left the State in a financial mess.
