Music composer and younger son of Ilaiyaraaja, Yuvan Shankar Raja organised a meet in Chennai to celebrate his 25 yeats in Tamil cinema.
Speaking to media persons on the occasion, he said that he will be directing a film soon. He said, ‘The script for my film is ready. I will be directing it either this year or next year.’
When asked to name a hero who he thought would be ideal to play the protagonist in his film, the music director said, ‘Actually, my film will be a female-oriented film.’
‘I desperately wanted to work with Lata Mangeshkar madam, but I am sad that it didnât happen. I spend more time listening to my fatherâs compositions.’
‘Jagadish, who is with Vijay sir had sent me a picture of Vijayâs son wearing the T-shirt labeled Yuvanism. Later, when I met Vijay sir, he revealed that his son is his great fan. I was really happy to hear about it. The T-shirt that I wore with the slogan regarding the Hindi language was absolutely true. Itâs a fact that I donât know Hindi. I am not such an active person in cyberspace, and itâs my wife, who always brings the appreciation from fans and others to my notice.’
He said, ’25 years have passed like a small fraction, and I know that thereâs a long journey ahead to travel.’
