Chennai: Expelled former interim general secretary of the AIADMK, V K Sasikala has renewed her call for unity among members of the party to safeguard the AIADMK.
She asserted that she will fulfil the aspirations of the cadre and protect the party the way their founder MG Ramachandran (MGR) and successor J Jayalalithaa did.
‘Men, women, elders, young men and women have been raising the slogan of ‘save the party.’ I will dedicate the rest of my life to all of you and the people of Tamilnadu so that this unwavering confidence you have placed in me will not go in vain. I will surely fulfill it,’ she said.
Sasikala added that the cadres need not to worry and the party could be protected by staying united and with determination, overcoming trials.
Sasikala said that even though she went to visit temples, several people from the young and the old wanted her to protect the AIADMK through her leadership. She said that she assured them that she would fulfil their desire and strive to restore the regime which worked for the people.
