Panaji: While Congress moved its MLA candidates in Goa to a resort, the Aam Aadmi Party has also moved to keep its own candidates under guard. Reports say AAP candidates have been put together at certain locations in the State.
Meanwhile, Goa Congress general secretary Sunil Kauthankar said candidates have decided to stay together voluntarily, while adding a number of senior leaders from other states were in the coastal state to manage the post-poll scenario.
He added the Congress has adopted a strategy that is complex and comprehensive in case it emerges as the single-largest party in Goa. Exit polls have predicted a hung assembly in Goa that voted in a single phase on 14 February.
Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram, who is in Goa ahead of the Assembly election results, has said his party is also on the guard against ‘those who steal candidates’
