New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today presented the budget for Jammu and Kashmir.
The second leg of the Budget session in Parliament began at 11 am today. Congress MP KC Venugopal today gave Suspension of Business notice under Rule 267 in Rajya Sabha, to discuss Russia-Ukraine conflict and its impact, including the education of Indian students returned from the war zone.
‘Need to suspend the business of the day to have a discussion in the house on the Ukraine-Russia war, and its impact including the education of Indian students returned from War Zone,’ Venugopal said in the notice.
Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will make a statement on Tuesday on the Ukraine war in Parliament. Thousands of Indians have returned to their homes from the conflict-hit nation since Moscow began its attacks on 24 February. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held yet another high-level meeting on the crisis.
