Chennai: AIADMK coordinator and former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam today appeared before the Justice A Arumughaswamy Commission inquiring into the circumstances that led to the death of former CM J Jayalalithaa.

The commission has been conducting an investigation into the death of the former AIADMK chief. So far, over 154 people have been inquired, including doctors, nurses, Jayalalithaa’s staff and several others.

Panneerselvam, who had demanded the formation of a commission to probe into the mystery surrounding Jayalalithaa’s death, was summoned by the commission earlier. However, he had sought more time to appear before the commission.

The latest was the eighth summon that has been sent to Panneerselvam to appear before the Commission. The Commission has also summoned J Ilavarasi, Sasikala’s sister-in-law who stayed in the Poes Garden residence of Jayalalithaa, to appear before it today.
