Coimbatore: A software professional was found hanging at his rented house at Varadarajulu Nagar near Ganapathy here.

According to sources, the 25-year-old identified as Bharathiraja had left a suicide note blaming staff of a loan app and a failed affair.

Hailing from a village near Sirkali in Mayiladuthurai district, Bharathiraja was working with an IT firm at Saravanampatti. In his suicide note, Bharathiraja said he was threatened by the staff of a loan app after he failed to repay Rs 12,108.

This comes just a few days after a 27-year-old man died, allegedly by suicide, due to harassment by moneylenders in Hyderabad.

According to the police, Vishal Sharma (27), of Seetarampet went home on Wednesday and did not respond to calls from his wife, who was staying with her parents.

Since Sharma did not come for dinner as usual, his father-in-law Om Prakash went to Seetarampet and on checking, found him hanging to the ceiling fan.
