Chennai: In tune with the declining trend, a total of 37 persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Tamilnadu on Tuesday. Only 10 districts reported fresh cases.
After Chennai (16), Chengalpet (4) reported the highest number of cases. While Tiruvallur and Coimbatore reported three new cases each, Nilgiris reported one new case. Twenty-eight of the 38 districts in the State reported no new cases of viral infection.
Ariyalur, Kallakurichi, Karur, Mayiladuthurai, Perambalur, Tenkasi, and Tiruvarur reported zero active infections. A total of 32,259 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Recoveries rose to 34,14,387 with 64 people getting discharged in the last 24 hours, leaving 339 active infections, a medical bulletin said.
