Chennai: Tamilnadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian has said despite the downward trend in new Covid-19 cases in Tamilnadu, it is imperative that people should not lower their guard as the threat of the virus is not over yet.
Speaking to the media, he also cited reports of spurt in infections in various Asian countries.
He however expressed happiness over the decline in fresh cases and zero related deaths reported for over a month in the State.
He also said the State reported zero Covid-19 deaths in the past one month.
The transgender clinic at Government Rajaji hospital (GRH) in Madurai that had taken up gender reassignment surgeries in a big way, would be replicated in many other government hospitals in the State, he added.
