Mumbai: The D-day finally arrived. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married at the latter’s residence, Vastu, in Mumbai’s Pali Hill. It was an intimate affair attended by the couple’s close family and friends.
Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor, sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, cousins Kareena and Karisma, actor Saif Ali Khan and uncle Randhir Kapoor were in attendance. On Alia’s side, parents Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, sisters Shaheen Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt graced the occasion.
Director-producer Karan Johar and Ranbir’s close friend and filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, in addition to the Ambanis were also among the attendees.
Among the deluge of messages shared for the couple on social media were two notes from Alia and Ranbir’s security personnel. Sunil Talekar, who is the bride’s bodyguard, shared a picture of himself with the couple, writing: From holding your tiny hands to seeing you as a bride I can say my heart is filled with happiness today.
There were reports that the couple would host a grand reception for their industry friends in Mumbai over this weekend.
However, sources say that Alia and Ranbir have decided to host a small get-together for their friends at their home in Vastu instead. The intimate get-together will reportedly take place today. Alia was last seen in RRR directed by S S Rajamouli.
