Chennai: Even as Palakkad political killings have rocked the entire Kerala besides sending shock waves in other States as well, the Kerala Police, in a rare move, have reportedly availed the services of their Tamilnadu counterparts to help maintain law and order.
Also, it is suspected that the five suspects in the SDPI functionary murder case have entered Tamilnadu. Help of Tamilnadu police has been sought to nab them, sources said.
Violence erupted in Palakkad district, where a PFI and an RSS worker each were killed within a span of 24 hours last week. Following this, Tamilnadu Special Police personnel have been deployed in the district to help Kerala Police maintain law and order.
The district administration has clamped prohibitory orders in Palakkad under Section 144 till Wednesday.
However, the Kerala Police Headquarters claimed that no personnel from other states were deployed in Palakkad post the twin murders.
