Sasikala demands justice for Kodanad murder-heist


Chennai: The two-day questioning of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s close aide V K Sasikala at her residence in T Nagar in connection with Kodanad heist cum murder case concluded on Friday.

Sasikala later sent out a statement requesting that strict action be taken against those involved in the Kodanad heist and murder case.

Sasikala said that she was interrogated on 21 and 22 April in connection with the robbery that took place at their estate in Kodanad and added that she had answered all the questions asked to her by the police and fully cooperated with the investigation.

Sasikala faced more than 150 questions pertaining to the documents and valuables missing from the house. Police sources said she cooperated during the questioning and disclosed a lot of information. Sasikala was questioned in a separate room where all the proceedings were recorded and videographed.

‘Kodanad Estate may be a normal place for others, but for me and the members of AIADMK it is a temple as my sister (Jayalalithaa) loved the place and stayed there and that place gave her a lot of peace of mind and happiness,’ she said.

Meanwhile, her advocate N Raja Senthoor Pandian told the media that till date Sasikala had not visited the Kodanad estate as she did not want to disturb the investigations.
