Anil Baijal resigned as Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor on Wednesday. He submitted his resignation to President Ram Nath Kovind citing personal reasons, sources said.
Anil Baijal took over as the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi on December 31 in 2016, following the sudden resignation of his predecessor Najeeb Jung.
Anil Baijal completed five years in office on December 31, 2021. There is no fixed tenure for the post of Delhi Lieutenant Governor.
