Police today arrested a middle-aged man from Azhwarkurichi village in Thenkasi who called the control room and threatened to detonate a bomb at Chief Minister MK Stalin’s house.
He confessed to making the hoax call apparently agitated at property dispute within his family.
As soon as the call was received, a thorough search was conducted at CM’s residence in Chittaranjan Salai here. Sniffer dogs were also pressed into service. Eventually it was found out to be a hoax call.
Police traced the call and arrested the man from Azhwarkurichi.
