The trailer of Nayanthara’s movie O2 was released on Monday. Directed by Vignesh GS and produced by Dream Warrior, the movie will be out on 17 June in Disney Hotstar. Tamil A Azhagan has cranked the camera and music is by Vishal Chandrasekhar.
Nayanthara plays a single mother of a child, who is fighting for the life of his little boy life every day. The boy has a medical condition that doesn’t allow him to breathe without a breathing aid. He constantly needs oxygen support to stay alive. The boy and the mother take a bus to the hospital in Cochin to take part in the surgery. En route to their destination, their bus falls into a massive hole. What happens then forms the crux. Rithvik plays Nayanthara’s son.
Says the director, who worked as Venkat Prabhu’s associate, ‘It is a seat-edhe thriller. I am thankful to Nayanthara for accepting the offer. Gratitude to Dream Warrior for producing the film in a grand manner’. The cast includes Bharath Neelakantan, Leena, RNR Manohar, Aadukalam Murugadoss among others.
We shot a major portion of the movie in a huge set resembling a bus. Technically it is a strong film, he adds. On his part, lyricist Rajesh Omprasadh says, ‘ Happy to make my debut with a Dream Warrior movie starring Nayanthara. Vishal’s music is equally good’.
