Covid spike in TN: Stalin chairs meeting


Chennai: Chief Minister MK Stalin chaired meeting with health experts today in the Secretariat as the number of Covid cases are increasing across the State.

Ways and means to prevent Covid outbreak were  discussed during the meeting. Health Minister ma Subramaian, Chief Secretary Iraianbu and Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan participated in this meeting.

It was decided to increase vaccination drive across the State and those who have not taken vaccine were adviced to take it.

At marriage and public functions, if anyone is tested Covid positive, then the systematic tests and screening should be done for others who attended the same.

It was also decided to urge people to wear masks, washing hands and other precautionary measures.

Earlier this week, Radhakrishnan had written a letter to officials to follow Covid-appropriate behaviour as cases as slowly spiking. He also urged people to take up vaccines seriously as the State is gearing up to conduct its mega vaccination camp tomorrow.
