Chennai: As India enters “Amrit Kaal” -the next 25 years leading up to the 100 years of independence- the corporate sector must strive to make a change and help meet the country’s goals, Tamilnadu Governor R N Ravi said on Thursday.
“I urge industry leaders to think of ways about what all you can do to innovate , expand , diversify etc to go beyond business-as-usual…You are doing a great national service by doing this,” he said.
Tamilnadu has all the ingredients suited for growth and I urge the industries here to make best use of it, the governor said, posing a question as to why Tamil Nadu was not able to attract as much investments as Maharashtra and Karnataka and asking the industries here to overcome hurdles.
The governor was speaking at FICCI’s HR Score 2022 Awards, where he was the chief guest and handed out awards to HR professionals of Tamil Nadu.
Speaking about HR professionals, Ravi commended them for playing a critical role during the pandemic in holding the teams together and boosting the morale of employees. “Organisations with a family bonding, the feeling of kutumbam, fare better than those without it,” he said.
