Call it a success for former Chief Minister and AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami. The Supreme Court today stayed the interim order passed by the Madras High Court, which restrained the AIADMK General Council from passing any resolution.
The apex court also allowed the July 11 meeting to proceed in accordance with law. The court also told both the EPS and O Pannerselvam factions to work out the differences.
Palaniswami in his plea challenged the Madras High Court order restraining the AIADMK General Council from amending the party bye-laws during its meeting.
