Director Anucharan made a mark with his maiden venture Kirumi. And much recently came the web series Suzhal and Anucharan, who directed last four episodes of it. It won him more name and fame. Hence expectations are high on Pannikutty. Featuring comedians Yogi Babu and Karunakaran in the lead, orator and comedian Dindugal Leoni is back to the big screen. Lakshmi Priya, Thangadurai, Ramar also form part of the cast.
Panni Kutty revolves around Utharavathi (Karunakaran) seeks the help of a spiritualist (Dindigul I Leoni). The latter advises him to steal a bike to change his fortunes. But an This accident that involves Varahi, a piglet that is also connected to the life of Thittani ( Yogi Babu). While Utharavathi and his friends (Thangadurai, Ramar and Singampuli) want to get hold of Varahi to recreate that accident, Thittani has to safeguard Varahi for a reason.
A restrained show by Yogi Babu is the highlight. He is right there all through. Karunakaran is at his best in a tricky character. Ramar, Thangadurai and Singam Puli provide laughter. Shots by cinematographer Sathish Murugan are bright and beautiful while music by K gels with the story.
Anucharan has tried to convey a message in a hilarious manner. Well begin is half done.
