35th mega vaccination drive will be held on September 4, 2022, Health Minister Ma Subramanian said on Friday.The vaccination drive will be held every Sunday this month.At least 96.25 per cent of people above the age of 18 years have been vaccinated with the first dose of Covid and 90.15 per cent have received both the doses.The mega vaccination drive will be conducted at 50,000 locations on Sunday.A release from the Greater Chennai Corporation stated that currently, 42,70,342 persons are eligible for the booster dose vaccination in Chennai, of which 5.54 lakh people have been vaccinated with precautionary dose. For the 35th mega vaccination camp, five health teams will be deployed in each ward and health committees have been formed for the same.The free booster dose vaccination drive will continue till September 30, 2022.The vaccines are also being administered at primary health centers, urban primary health centers and urban social welfare centers.Officials from the Corporation also requested the public to make use of the opportunity to get vaccinated at the mega vaccination drive.
