A 40-year-old woman passenger, native of Gujarat, who arrived at the airport in Chennai from Bhubaneswar en route Ahmedabad, died of cardiac arrest early on Sunday. Airport sources said the deceased was identified as Kamalaben Vallabhgiri.
She was on her way to Ahmedabad along with her husband, Vallabhgiri Atit, a businessman. The couple had come from Bhubaneswar when their flight made a transit halt at Chennai airport around 0100 hrs. Their flight to Ahmedabad was scheduled at 0400 hrs. On reaching the airport, the woman complained of uneasiness and sheimmediately fell unconscious. She was rushed to the airport hospital where she was declared dead. Airport police shifted the body to the Chromepet Government Hospital
for autopsy.
