Following the Chennai-bound Coromandel express derailment in Odisha’s Balasore district, Tamilnadu government is monitoring the situation closely and all assistance would be provided to the families of the injured and deceased, say reports.
Tamilnadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin along with few government officials left for Balasore to co-ordinate the relief operations in Odisha.
They will identify passengers bound for Tamilnadu and ensure speedy assistance.
Officials say that a final confirmed release from the railways department is awaited to identify those injured and those who died in the mishap.
