Ottanchathiram Revenue Officer was arrested by police for taking bribe of Rs 8000 to issue income certificate.Marimuthu, a resident of Kaveriammapatti, alerted DVAC officials that the RO was demanding bribe to taste income certificate.
As per plan, when Marimuthu visited the office and fave money, DVAC officials arrived at the scene. They arrested the RO identified as Pandian.
He was immediately remanded by the police
