TN’s Dravida model is for the people, says Udhayanidhi

Due to the ongoing riots in Manipur, Fifteen fencers and two coaches from Manipur were flown down to Chennai by the Tamil Nadu government. They have been training in Chennai since July. The Tamil Nadu government has announced earlier that it is ready to provide all assistance to the athletes to train here.

When asked about the training provided here, Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said, ‘“We are providing all facilities to Manipur’s fencers in Tamil Nadu. They feel safe here and are practicing to get ready for the Khelo India games. This is the difference between Manipur’s Aryan model and Tamil Nadu’s Dravidian model.”
