The main accused in the murder of four in Palladam was arrested after he was shot in his leg when he tried to escape.
The accused identified as Venkatesh was arrested after cops shot in his leg. When Venkatesh tried to flee from the scene, policemen had no option but to take a shot at his legs.
He has been taken to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Currently, he is being operated on to remove the bullets.
After two days of protest, the family members received the bodies of deceased persons from Palladam Government Hospital on Tuesday and took it on a procession for burial.
