Mano Thangaraj, Minister for Milk and Dairy Development revealed that there will be a substantial boost in the production of dairy products by Aavin, the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Ltd, in preparation for the upcoming festival season. This move is aimed at meeting the surging demand for dairy products during the festive period. Minister Mano Thangaraj shared this during an event held in Madurai, where he was inaugurating a skill development program for workers associated with milk producer unions. He emphasized the rising need for skilled human resources within Aavin to ensure the timely delivery of dairy products to consumers. One of the key highlights of Minister Thangaraj’s address was the increase in daily milk procurement over the last four months. The figures surged from 26 lakh litres to an impressive 30 lakh litres, indicating a growing demand for Aavin’s products. To support dairy farmers, steps have been taken to offer enhanced milk procurement prices ranging from Rs 3 to Rs 5 per litre, depending on the quality of the milk. @@@@@
