The ongoing session of the Tamil Nadu Assembly has been extended until Wednesday, as per the decision of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the House. Speaker M Appavu confirmed this extension.On Tuesday, a significant part of the Assembly agenda will involve the debate on the first supplementary estimates for the fiscal year 2023-2024.
Following this, on Wednesday, Finance Minister Thangam Thenarasu will take the floor to respond to the debate on the supplementary estimates. This is a crucial aspect of the legislative process, where the government provides explanations and clarifications on the budgetary decisions and addresses concerns raised by the opposition and other members of the Assembly.
