Special bus services for Mahalaya Amavasi pilgrims to Rameswaram

Every year, the sacred occasion of Mahalaya Amavasi sees devotees from Tamil Nadu and neighboring Bangalore embarking on a spiritual journey to the revered shrine of Rameswaram. This year, as 14 October approaches, the anticipation of a significant influx of pilgrims has led to the introduction of additional special bus services to facilitate the pilgrimage. These special buses will connect major cities, including Chennai, Salem, Coimbatore, and Bengaluru, to Rameswaram, ensuring a hassle-free and convenient journey for the devotees.

The special bus services are scheduled for the night of Friday, October 13, to ensure that pilgrims reach Rameswaram in time for the Mahalaya Amavasi rituals. The return journey from Rameswaram to these major cities is planned for the night of Saturday, October 14, allowing pilgrims to return home after the auspicious occasion.

To facilitate your travel arrangements, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) provides an official website, www.tnstc.in, where you can access detailed information about the special bus services. Additionally, the TNSTC official app is available for your convenience, offering a user-friendly platform to plan your pilgrimage.
