John Ravi, an ardent supporter of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), found himself on the wrong side of the law as he was arrested in Thoothukudi for posting content on social media that was deemed anti-Periyar. John Ravi, who is the son of Soundirarajan and hails from Kottivakkam in Chennai’s OMR area, has been known for his active and vocal posts in favor of the saffron party on various social media platforms.
The Madurai Cyber Crime Police took action against John Ravi by registering a case against him for promoting enmity through his online posts.
