Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan slammed Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin for his “egg campaign” against the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). This came a day after Stalin showed an egg with âNEETâ written on it while speaking about how the percentage for the NEET PG cut off was reduced to zero percentile.
The DMK minister had claimed that students only need to appear for PG NEET to get a seat and it doesnât matter even if you get zero marks.
The Telangana Governor argued that the provision was only for this academic year and the central government made the decision during the third round of counselling to fill the remaining seats for subjects like Anatomy and Physiology. “If you get zero marks, you canât even join LKG, but he claims that even if you get zero, you can still get a medical seat!,” said Soundararajan.
âThis is only an eyewash. Iâm saying this again, donât create false hopes for students who are preparing for NEET. Let them prepare,” she added.
