TN to run addl buses for Deepavali


As the festival of Deepavali approaches, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) is gearing up to make holiday travel convenient and accessible for the residents of Chennai and beyond. In a welcome move, TNSTC has announced the operation of special buses from Chennai to various destinations within the state, ensuring that families can reunite and celebrate the festival with their loved ones.
Starting from November 9 and continuing through November 11, TNSTC will deploy a fleet of around 4,675 special buses in addition to the 6,300 buses that are regularly operated, making a total of 10,975 buses available for holiday travelers. This proactive approach aims to cater to the expected surge in travel demand during the festive season.
The special buses will depart from six different locations across Chennai, strategically placed to make it convenient for residents to access their desired route. The departure points include the Koyambedu Bus Stand, Poonamalle Bus Stand, Tambaram Bus Stand, Tambaram Railway Station, KK Nagar, and Madhavaram Bus Stand.
