DMDK (Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam) President Vijayakanth, who was admitted to a private hospital on November 18 due to a throat infection, is reported to be in good health and stable, according to hospital sources. In a health bulletin issued on Thursday, MIOT Hospital conveyed that Vijayakanth is responding positively to the treatment for symptoms related to fever. The veteran politician and actor are currently stable, exhibiting the ability to independently perform all bodily functions. The bulletin further stated that he will remain under observation for a few more days and will be discharged once he resumes his usual activities. Vijayakanth’s hospitalization had raised concerns among his supporters and well-wishers, prompting widespread interest in his health status. The reassuring update from MIOT Hospital provides much-needed relief and affirms that the DMDK leader is on the path to recovery. The statement emphasizes that the medical team is closely monitoring Vijayakanth’s progress and ensuring that he receives the necessary care. The decision to keep him under observation for an additional period is a precautionary measure aimed at ensuring his full recuperation before discharge. Vijayakanth, a prominent figure in Tamil Nadu politics, has garnered a substantial following over the years.
