Rotaract Club of Chennai Gems Sponsored by Rotary Club of Chennai Gems Rotary International District 3232 organised a project named NIRA – where in more than 100 pregnant ladies had “VALAKKAPPU” ,Baby shower Project for the Mom-to-be on November 24 2023 in IOG Hospital Egmore. A press release said,”The motive of the project is to make all the mom to be from ordinary background who could not have valakappu function, have a memorable function and be happy in this stage of their life. The Chief Guest was Rtn Vidya Alaguperumal, President of Rotary Club of Madras Chennai Patna. The event was organized by Rtr Nithyashree, Project Chairman, President Rtr Prithviraj and Secretary Rtr Ayushsudhiv.”

As of 1:00 pm, Tamil Nadu recorded an overall voter turnout of 56.81%. Tiruppur led with 62.97%, followed by Namakkal (62.51%) and Erode (61.79%). The lowest turnout was in Kanyakumari (50.35%), The Nilgiris (50.42%), and Tirunelveli (50.73%).
