The creators of Vishal’s upcoming film, tentatively titled Vishal 34, have recently revealed the title along with a sneak peek video in both Tamil and Telugu. The film, officially named Rathnam, offers a glimpse into the intense world of action-thriller, featuring Vishal in a powerful character showcased in a gripping beheading sequence. Directed by Hari, this collaboration marks their third venture together, following the successes of “Thamirabharani” (2007) and “Poojai” (2014).Vishal, sharing the excitement, posted the video link on social media, stating, “Well here it is finally, my 34th film. Happy to share THE FIRST SHOT of #RATHNAM unleashing the combo with Hari sir for the third time and my first collaboration with the Rockstar DSP as music composer in my career. The action begins, and looking forward to a summer 2024 release. Hope u all like it. Hard work never fails. God bless (sic).”
Produced by Stone Bench’s Karthik Subbaraj, in collaboration with Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, Invenio Origin’s Alankar Pandian, and Zee Studios, the film commenced its production journey in July.
Priya Bhavanishankar has been cast as the female lead, marking her second collaboration with Hari after “Yaanai.” Additionally, Yogi Babu is set to play a significant role in the film. The musical score for “Rathnam” is entrusted to the talented Devi Sri Prasad, while M Sukumar handles cinematography, and TS Jay takes on the editing duties.
