Kevin McCarthy to resign from US Congress by year-end

Former US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will be resigning from Congress by the end of this year and will not run for re-election next year, leaving a legacy of a historic Capitol Hill career after 15 rounds of voting to become Speaker in January and getting ousted 10 months later by a conservative rebellion.
