The announcement was made by the state’s Transport Minister, Mr. SS. Sivashankar, highlighting the commitment to providing inclusive and comfortable public transportation services.The initiative is part of a broader effort to cater to the needs of differently-abled persons, ensuring they have convenient and accessible transportation options. Mr. Sivashankar revealed that these buses will be acquired with the financial assistance of KfW, a development bank based in Germany, reflecting international collaboration to support public welfare projects.
The minister emphasized the significance of inclusivity in public transport, underlining the government’s commitment to creating an environment where everyone, regardless of physical abilities, can travel comfortably.
