In a significant step towards enhancing healthcare facilities, the State Bank of India (SBI) Chennai Circle has extended a generous donation of Rs 79 lakhs to the renowned Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai. This philanthropic gesture, conducted under the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, aims to bolster medical equipment at the esteemed healthcare institution. The financial contribution from SBI will facilitate the acquisition of a Carl Zeiss Clarus 700 Ultra Widefield Fundus Camera with Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA) capabilities. This state-of-the-art equipment is designed to capture high-resolution images of the inner parts of the eye, including the retina and optic disc, enabling precise diagnostics and effective treatment planning.
