Chennai, Jan 20: In a recent interaction with reporters in Coimbatore, Annamalai, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu, clarified his stance on chief ministerial aspirations, emphasising his commitment to party building and nurturing future leaders.Addressing comments from former AIADMK minister D Jayakumar, who questioned Annamalai’s potential as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Annamalai stated, “I donât dream of becoming a CM. My task is to build the party and nurture future leaders.” He underscored that there are other leaders within the BJP who are qualified for the role of Chief Minister.
On the subject of cementing alliances for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Annamalai indicated that the BJP’s national high command would make the final decision.
