Chennai, Jan 20: In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameswaram, public darshan will be restricted on Saturday and Sunday, according to an announcement by Ramanathapuram District Collector Vishnu Chandran.The temporary restriction will be enforced from 8 am to 6 pm on the specified date, limiting devotees’ access to the revered temple during this period. The decision is made in consideration of security measures to facilitate the Prime Minister’s visit.
In addition to limiting public access, the use of drones has been strictly prohibited in Rameswaram city on both January 20 and 21. This measure aims to ensure security during the significant event and prevent any potential disruptions.
Devotees are urged to cooperate with the authorities and refrain from seeking darshan during the specified hours. The temporary restrictions are implemented to facilitate the smooth conduct of Prime Minister Modi’s visit and to prioritize the safety and security of all attendees.
